Julio Barreto

Partner of Palma Guedes Advogados, active in our corporate and contract law practices. Julio worked at Veirano Advogados and in other law firms before joining the Palma Guedes team. He is an experienced advisor on mergers and acquisitions, strategic contracts, shareholder disputes and highly complex projects and has participated in funding transactions involving Brazilian and international government and non-government financial institutions. Julio focuses on the telecommunication, finance, supplemental healthcare, pharmaceutical and banking industries.

Former undergraduate professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and in several graduate programs. Julio wrote the 'Conflicts of Interest between Companies and their Managers' (2009) section in the collective book 'Topics in Civil-Business Law' (2008) and articles on diverse Business Law issues.
