Demian Guedes

Founding partner of Palma Guedes Advogados, focusing on public law advice and on court and administrative litigation. Former capital partner at Veirano Advogados, Brazil's leading public law practice. Ample experience in concessions, PPPs and infrastructure projects, including asset sales and purchases. Demian assists clients in regulatory risk analysis, government contract management, contract review claims and administrative proceedings in general, focusing on oil & gas, sanitation, transportation, civil construction, defense and industrial clients. His solid litigation experience includes misconduct in office cases, class actions and judicial constitutional review proceedings. He is an active arbitrator in cases involving different aspects of public law.

Former undergraduate professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-Rio) and several graduate programs. Author of books 'Authoritarianism and State in Brazil' (2016) and 'Administrative Process and Democracy’ (2007), as well as of numerous articles on public and procedural law.
